On Tuesday, April 7, Pocahontas School District will conduct a districtwide bus evacuation and reunification drill for all students and staff.

This drill will involve transporting students off campus mid-morning to a designated safe location at Black River Technical College. We are sharing this information so our community is aware that this is a planned and coordinated drill—there is no real emergency.

As always, the safety of our students and staff is our top priority. We appreciate your continued support and understanding.

For Ashlyn, Pocahontas isn’t just where she works—it’s where her story began. ❤️

As a proud Pocahontas High School graduate, returning to teach feels like coming full circle. From her days as a student involved in sports and clubs to now leading her own classroom, she’s experienced firsthand what makes this district so special.

Now, alongside her husband, Tyler Lingo—who also teaches and coaches here—Pocahontas truly feels like home both inside and outside the classroom.

That’s what sets Pocahontas School District apart.

Our staff pour into students, create meaningful connections, and prepare them with real-life skills that go far beyond the classroom.
