The Pocahontas School District would like to inform our community that the Pocahontas High School Band will not be traveling to the second-round playoff football game this week. We wish our Redskins the best of luck in the playoffs, and we encourage all fans to come out and cheer them on! Go Skins!

🌟 Pocahontas Interact at Rotary! 🌟 Interact students attended the local Rotary Club meeting this week, where McKinley Huddleston served as the keynote speaker. She shared highlights from her experience at RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) in Little Rock after being selected by Rotary to attend. Ms. Hudson also updated the group on Interact’s recent monetary drive supporting Together We Foster. We’re proud of these young leaders and the impact they’re already making in our community! ❤️🤍

Redskins Hit the Road!🏈 Our Pocahontas Redskins are traveling to Nashville this Friday for the next round of playoff action! Our 1st–3rd grade students were recently invited to participate in the Clay County Electric Holiday Card Contest, and we were thrilled with the number of entries submitted! The contest included students from schools across and around Clay County — and two of our very own Pocahontas students earned top honors! 🏅 2nd Place: Lucas Casillas 🏅 3rd Place: Ava Amos Their festive artwork will be featured in the Arkansas Living Magazine! We’re so proud of these talented young artists and all who participated in spreading some holiday cheer through their creativity!

Thank you, Key Club! ❤️ During last week’s meeting, the Pocahontas High School Key Club and their advisor presented Kiwanis Club president with a generous donation to support last weekend’s Kiwanis Food Drive. We’re so proud of these students for continuing to give back and for embodying the spirit of service that makes our community so special!
