Due to the dry conditions, the annual Homecoming Bonfire scheduled for Thursday, October 13th is canceled. In lieu of the bonfire, we will extend the Tailgate Party and Pep Rally from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. We will continue to monitor the forecast and remain in contact with the proper authorities regarding any changing circumstances.

PES will release at regular time.
MDW, PJHS, and PHS will release car riders and walkers at 3:15 and bus riders at 3:20 to relieve some of the traffic in the afternoon until further notice.

The Pocahontas School District is in need of substitute nurses for the 2022-2023 school year. Interested applicants must be RN or LPN certified and can fill out an application on the district webpage at www.Pocahontaspsd.com or an application can be picked up at the administration office.
The Pocahontas School District has a vacant School Board Member position. If you are interested in the position please contact a Board Member in writing or drop off a written statement of interest to the Board via the Administration Building at 2300 North Park Street.
The vacant position is in Zone 5. The zones are on our District's website under documents. A more detailed map of zone 5 can be seen at the PSD Administration Building.
All School Board members will run for re-election in November.
