The low interest rates on the bond sales have decreased the millage ask from around 5 mills to just 3.44 mills, which will help build 30 new classrooms, a new gym, auditorium, library and a cafeteria that will seat all the high school students. Get out and vote.

The gym in the New High School project has a seating capacity of 1800 and is air conditioned? Early voting runs today and Friday 8:30a-4:30p at First Baptist Church.
Did You Know-if the new millage is passed, Arkansas State Partnership Funding will be paying $9.2 million to build the new high school, which is almost 1/3 of the cost of the entire project.

The regular monthly meeting of the Pocahontas School Board of Directors, in September, has been moved to Monday night, September 14, 2020. The meeting will take place in the Junior High School library and will begin at 7:00 p.m.
