Recently, Ms. Sutton’s class took time to learn what Veterans Day truly means and why we honor the brave men and women who have served our country. Students celebrated by discussing the importance of veterans and coloring American flags in recognition of their service and sacrifice. ❤️🤍💙

In Ms. Bennett’s music class at Pocahontas Elementary, our 3rd graders are working together to create their own music! Students are learning how creativity, teamwork, and listening skills all come together to make something amazing. ❤️

We love seeing their confidence grow as they explore music in new ways!

Our 1st–3rd grade students were recently invited to participate in the Clay County Electric Holiday Card Contest, and we were thrilled with the number of entries submitted! The contest included students from schools across and around Clay County — and two of our very own Pocahontas students earned top honors! 🏅 2nd Place: Lucas Casillas 🏅 3rd Place: Ava Amos Their festive artwork will be featured in the Arkansas Living Magazine! We’re so proud of these talented young artists and all who participated in spreading some holiday cheer through their creativity!

🍎 Future Teachers in Training! Our Introduction to Education students have officially started their practicum placements! They’re getting hands-on experience in classrooms across the district—learning what it’s like to be on the other side of the desk. We’re so proud of these future educators! ❤️

From heartfelt songs to powerful tributes, it’s going to be a special celebration of service, courage, and patriotism.
