Our character trait for the month of September was Compassion. Today we had an assembly honoring those students nominated by their teachers as well as teachers nominated by their peers. Congratulations to all that were nominated.
Tonight's Little Redskin Cheer Clinic has been canceled due to the weather conditions. It has been rescheduled for November 1st.

PES would like to invite that Grand person in your student's life! Parking and entry for Kindergarten and 1st grade will be on the West side of the building which is the designated bus area. 2nd and 3rd grade visitors will enter the East side of the building directly facing car drop off. Pre-K will be held in their building. Refer to the flyer for times.
Just a friendly reminder that Monday, September 2nd will be NO SCHOOL in observance of Labor Day. School will resume back on Tuesday, September 3rd.

Pocahontas Elementary is proud to display our, "Outstanding Educational Performance: BEATING THE ODDS ELA" certificate provided by DESE. This recognizes outstanding growth in our Literacy performance and the hard work by students, family and staff to make these gains.
Attention Parents!
The PES car-rider pickup time will change, starting on Monday, August 19th. To improve the traffic patterns and allow more time between campus pickups, PES will release car riders at 3:10.
Please remember that PES is a contact release, students are released to parents when they and the classroom teacher make contact. Parents should gather on the asphalt, keeping the sidewalk clear, near their teachers' identified release location. Release locations are individual poles labeled with teachers' names.
