We want to thank Raul Blasini and the Backpack 2 School program for their donation of extra backpacks to our food backpack program!

As the first three weeks have passed, we have noticed things to remind everyone of.
Drop off should be after 7:20 and not before.
Students must be in the cafeteria or playground before the 8:50 bell.
Parents should check in at the office before entering the building.
Students and parents should not be in classrooms before 7:50.
I truly thank all the parents that have been following these request.

Notice to Parents: The Doors closest to Preschool will be alarmed between 8:00-2:55. Please do not use between these hours.

Morning drop off- a student can exit the car on the sidewalk side any place between the crosswalks. Please pull all the way forward.

I want to thank parents for adjusting to the new drop off procedures. The test run is going well so we will keep it up for now.

Alma Spikes Newsletter for the week of September 5th

Alma Spikes is teaming up with Compassion for Communities for a "Sock-it-to-em" sock drive. Students can help by bringing a pair or package of NEW socks to send to those affected by the flooding in Louisiana. We will accept donations of socks from now until Sept. 23rd. There is a tote in the cafeteria for your sock donations. They will be delivered to Louisiana on October 1st. Let's help "SOCK-IT-TO-EM"!

Pocahontas Public Schools will not be in session on Monday, September 5, 2016. Schools will be closed in observance of Labor Day. Pocahontas Public Schools will resume the regular schedule on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 for all students.

A great big thank-you to the employees of Integrity 1st Bank of Pocahontas for their large food donation to the Alma Spikes Food Backpack Program. Employees donated money to wear jeans on Fridays, and all the money went to purchase food. Y'all are awesome!!!!
